What the app is for

Lantern RTSP Cam can work in two roles:

  • RTSP server: turns the iPhone camera into a local RTSP H.264 source.
  • RTSP client: saves and watches compatible RTSP H.264 camera streams.

No account is required. No cloud relay is used by the app.

Quick help

Common setup notes

How do I use the iPhone as an RTSP camera source?

Open the Server tab, grant Camera and Local Network permissions, tap Start Streaming, then copy one of the displayed RTSP URLs. Open that URL from a compatible RTSP client or video tool on the same reachable network.

Can I use Lantern RTSP Cam with OBS Studio?

Yes, when OBS Studio or a compatible plugin/input can open the RTSP URL and the computer can reach the iPhone over the network. Start the iPhone server first, then use the displayed RTSP URL in your desktop workflow.

Where are saved cameras and passwords stored?

Saved camera entries are stored locally on the iPhone. Passwords are stored in the iPhone Keychain. The app does not provide an account system or upload your camera list to a Moryxo cloud service.
